BDG was a passion project of mine starting in 2005. Big Dumb Gaming is an esports organization that emphasizes on having fun and being good. Often time esports brands are cold, standoffish, and bland. But we believe that having fun is what makes this industry special.
I spent 5 years managing 30 people and building the team up from a team no one had heard of, to world 3rd. I then stopped playing myself and created a business around the team. After years of building tens of thousands of followers and viewers on different platforms, we then partnered with the Golden State Warriors and other large brands to become one of the worlds premier esports teams.
- Created high-quality production events that consistently captivated and entertained over 1 million unique viewers through storytelling and engaging content.
- Cultivated partnerships with major industry players including the Golden State Warriors, Zenni, and Redbull. These partnerships solidified us as a force in the esports arena.
- Led fundraising events raising over $143,000 for causes like Girls Who Code, RAINN, and Rise Above the Disorder, using our platform to make a tangible global impact.
- Led an 8-member team of event managers, team leaders, marketers, and developers to create comprehensive brand offerings and tools for large-scale success.
- Built complex automation tools using Node.js, C#, PHP, MySQL and more, tracking activity of 35 players and hundreds of volunteers.
